This page answers common questions about the 2026 Truckee Wine Walk and Shop and links out to more detail on each topic.

It is an annual wine tasting, food sampling, and shopping event held in historic downtown Truckee, California. The event began in 2004 and has grown into one of the town's signature fall traditions.

The event takes place Saturday, October 3, 2026, from noon to 4 p.m.


The event takes place across historic downtown Truckee. Check-in is available at the Truckee, California, Welcome Center and Train Depot or at the Old Lumber Yard.

General Admission tickets are $75 in advance ($85 day of) and include a commemorative wine glass for tasting at 25+ locations, unlimited food sampling while supplies last, and an event program and map.

Prosecco & Pastries tickets are $100 in advance and include a VIP pre-event tasting hour plus a General Admission ticket.

Designated Driver tickets are $30 in advance and include non-alcoholic drink options and food sampling.

Advance tickets can be purchased online or in person at the Truckee, California, Welcome Center, The Pour House or Bluestone Jewelry & Wine in downtown Truckee, or in person on the day of the event next to the Downtown Truckee Train Depot.

More than 25 downtown venues take part each year, each pouring a different wine and, in many cases, serving a food sample as well.

Volunteers are needed for set up, registration, floating, patrolling, wine pouring, and food serving. Volunteers work one shift and can enjoy the rest of the event for free.

Proceeds benefit Tahoe Food Hub, a non-profit that supports regenerative farming and increases access to local food for Truckee, North Lake Tahoe, and Reno through its Giving Box program.

Check-in is at two convenient locations in downtown Truckee: the west parking lot of the Truckee California Welcome Center and Train Depot, or the Old Lumber Yard. Digital check-in is available at both.


Yes. Every ticket includes an event program and map showing all participating venues, so you can plan your route for wine, food, and shopping stops. An updated map will be linked here as we get closer to the event.

Attendees must be 21 to taste wine. Those under 21 may purchase a Designated Driver ticket to sample food and non-alcoholic beverages.


This is a rain-or-shine event. Tickets will not be refunded due to weather.


Truckee is a very dog-friendly town and while they are allowed on the street, they are not allowed in shops and restaurants where the tastings occur. The event also brings 800+ people to town so the sidewalks can be busy. Use your best judgement as to whether your pet will enjoy being in crowds.
