OUR PROGRAMS
The Family Resource Center of Truckee is a one-stop hub where individuals and families can obtain the services and referrals they need to be self-sufficient. We provide a wide variety of programs, including support for at-risk families in the prevention of child abuse and neglect, early childhood development activities, free legal services, emergency assistance for utility shut-off, energy-saving audits, and outreach for local workforce housing.
All programs offered at FRC of Truckee build on family strengths and assets and are delivered through strategies of prevention, education, support networking and collaboration with other resources in the community. Family Advocates help community members with complex needs navigate the service delivery system.
In areas where we do not provide the direct service needed by a family, we refer to the appropriate nonprofit or county agency that can help. We are Truckee's one-stop location for programs and referrals focused on building family health and strength.
